CAPE ANN LIGHTHOUSES

Only one of them is still active. Not easy to find turnouts for seeing it up close. I did find one very out of the way place but brambles prevented me from getting out to the shoreline for an unobstructed view. And where I did manage to take pictures from, the two lighthouses were too far apart to get a telephoto shot. Oh well, it was also cold and I wasn't willing to stand out there much anyway.
Thatcher Island is located off the south shore of the Cape Ann peninsula in Gloucester, (pronounced 'Glah-ster' for those of you, like me, who tried to say 'Glou-cester'). Pretty barren island, just rocks it looks like.
