DISHOEK VUURTOREN

Continuing south after Zoutelande, I was headed to Vlissingen and maybe to Breskens by ferry. A little tower caught my eye as I scanned along the ridge of the dike as I drove. I took a turn and some very out of the way single lane roads but ended up in yet another little village. Some maintenance guy was standing there at his truck taking a smoke break and I asked him what the area was called. I forget now what he said since I have identified it as Dishoek. I spent no time trying to find a way to get closer. Weather was clouding up and I had to get to that V place.
I am not clear what purpose it serves, well rather, it serves as a maritime aid , I just don't know how it does that.
