DOUBLING POINT LIGHTHOUSE

Bath, Maine

 

 

 

From Highway 1 in Bath, come down  about 1.8 miles to a dirt road on your right. Believe it or not, there are signs that will lead you back to this pretty little river light that sits closest to the town of Bath on the Kennebec RIver. You can also see it from 209 across the river as you come down towards Phippsburg and Squirrel Point Lighthouse.

This cute little wooden sparkplug style light was constructed here in 1898.
