GOAT ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE
Kennebunkport, Maine
Didn't see this one the first visit, didn't know it was there. Knew about it the 2nd trip and definitely found it. Take Hwy 9 from US 1 out by Cape Porpoise Harbor.
This 25 foot tower was established here in 1859. Wasn't the first light. It had a 5th order lens in its youth, but now a modern optic has provided the flash since 1990 when the lighthouse was automated. It is currently active.
