HELSINGBORG LOTSSTATION
Helsingborg, Sweden

I left Stockholm around 3:30 AM and drove down the E4 to Helsingborg, then headed north as I didn't see anything resembling a lighthouse from the road I was on and I wanted to get up to Kullen first anyway. Then as I came back south towards Falsterbo, I drove in along the coastal waterfront of Helsingborg looking for a lighthouse. I came to the harbor, of course, and parked in a public parking area. Again looking around I still didn't see a tower and I did not have a previewed image in my mind to help. There was a smaller structure across the water on an island that I could see the back of. Had a familiar look to it, so I asked two ladies standing there, if they were from the area ( after asking them if they spoke English ), and after a positive response to both questions, I asked if they knew what that structure was, and point to the suspected building. Neither of them knew nor had any idea, but they did know how I could drive over there and directed me to the bridge. I pulled up and sure enough, the pilot house for the harbor.
Very pretty brick building, standing approximately 18 1/2 meters high, constructed back in 1889. The city is at the entrance to the Baltic Sea where the North Sea squeezes in between Helsingborg, Sweden and Helsingor, Denmark. That lantern glass is so dark, I wonder how you can see a light shining in there. The town, as I recall, was filled with a lot of old architecture, a place with a lot of history to it, a beautiful city.
Here's how I saw it:
