HOEK VAN HOLLAND LAAG
VUURTOREN
Rotterdam, Netherlands

After seeing Maasmond, Maasvlakte, and Brielle, I came back into Rotterdam to attempt finding both the Hoek van Holland Laag light and the Lightship Breeveertien, both at the Maritime Museum. So I do my usual follow the water routine and plus having seen on a small map somewhere that the site was one street over from the main one I was driving in on. I had to keep looking off to the right as I drove by intersections and sure enough I could see the vuurtoren in time to turn. Of course I pass up the last space to park in along the road by the museum so I end up winding around some one way streets until I end up on the other side of the light and goodness me I turn right down a little side street and there is the lightship with a walkway over to the lighthouse. How convenient. Free parking.
Looks like they just lifted the tower up with a big crane and plunked it right down on the sidewalk and bolted it down. They probably let you go inside this one too, but not the day I was there. Same with the lightship. It had the appearance of receiving visitors.
Here's how I saw it:
