LIGHTSHIP PORTSMOUTH

Portsmouth, Virginia

I came back over from Hampton Roads and seeing Old Point Comfort before heading in to Portsmouth to find another lightship. This one is not even in the water. and in very tight quarters. Made it difficult to get good wide angle shots.

This lightship was commissioned in 1916 and retired in 1964. Sits along the waterfront in a little park.
