NIEUWPOORT LIGHTHOUSE

Well it took me a little while to get down to Nieuwpoort, and sure enough, as soon as I pulled into the city limits, the rain started falling. I found my way to the general area for this light, only to keep running into the gates of a military base. At first I saw this very strange tower which was actually a radar tower. I was driving all around these little narrow back roads and what you see above is the best vantage point I found, but there was that persistent rain. Light was poor and I had to stay inside my car with a window rolled down for the shot. As I was leaving the area, I also saw an old vuurtoren tower, but it too was on the military base and I could not find any vantage point that let me see more than the top third of it. And there was that rain...
