Finally it stopped raining as I finished at Katwijk, and I continued north to Noordwijk on N206. I remember that I simply had to drive into the city on the main drag. The 25.5 meter tower stands across the street from a very pretty public beach. A big square thing with all that extra stuff on the lantern. The plaque by the door says 1922. It also says that the light can be seen 18 nautical miles out.

The vuurtoren sits at the beginning of a one way street that is lined by ocean front hotels. Nice green lawn strip between the beach and the street. Had little signs showing a dog squatting with a red circle/slash.
