SQUIRREL POINT LIGHTHOUSE

Squirrel Point is the third river light down the Kennebec River from Bath, Maine. The photo above was taken from the west side of the river along 209. You can also walk to it by taking Steen Road to the right as you drive south out of Bath on 127.

They first lit Squirrel Point in 1898 and in 1902 it was outfitted with a 5th order lens in the 25 foot tower. NPS says it has a focal plane of 33 feet but I didn't see that much in elevation gain from the bank of the river.
