ARCTIC FOX
Alopex lagopus
Almost passed this little fella up. This is the Arctic Fox and he lives at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, down in the Northwest Trail section. Just next to the Snowy Owls. He kinda blends in with his enclosure, and I have never seen him before, but several people were looking and pointing and so I managed one decent shot through the mesh screen.
I though they were white and so I wasn't looking for a dark brown but then I guess they can have different colors depending on the season. The photo link below is of a white one at the San Diego Zoo. Want to know for sure, then click this link: Arctic Fox
