SQUIRREL MONKEY

This cute little guy was everywhere all at once in his enclosure at the Oakland Zoo. He was very curious about everything. Almost at lightning speed. And then there was that mesh fencing that you could hardly focus through and it was shaded under the tree where he settled for about 10 seconds. I used a flash which caused a picture-covering glare, but when I worked on the image I was able to remove the glare to find this prize of a photo.

Squirrel monkeys hail from Bolivia, South America, which you could probably figure out from the scientific name. They form large troops with various sub-groups, more so than any other primate in the New World. They follow other monkeys to feed on bugs stirred up by their passing.
